Rokoko-Zuckerl / Rococo candy

Das nächste, das ich nähen werde, ist ein Zweiteiler aus Leinen. Der Rock wird in Hellblau sein, der Caraco aus einem dunkleren Altrosa. Vorbild dafür ist dieses historische Stück von 1730-40. Dann kam mir diese Abwandlung aus der Serie "Outlander" unter, die näher an meiner persönlichen Lieblingszeit liegt, was den Stil betrifft, nämlich die 1770er.

The next thing I want to sew is a linen two-piece. The skirt is light blue and the Caraco will be in a darker old rose. Model for it was this historical piece from 1730-40.Then I found this variation from the series "Outlander" which is nearer to my personal favourite design period, the 1770s.

Die Ärmel werden anders gestaltet, anstatt der schönen Borte muss ich auf Baumwollborte zurückgreifen und der Ausschnitt wird wie beim Kostüm gestaltet. Zum ersten Mal werde ich hierfür ein Schittmuster von JP Ryan verwenden.

The sleeves will be different, instead of the beautiful lace I have to fall back on cotton lace and the neckline will be as the costume's. For the first time I'll use a pattern by JP Ryan for it.

Zuerst habe ich den Rock genäht. Die Stofffarbe ist nahe am Original. Hier das Detail des Bunds:

Und nun zum Caraco: Der Schnitt stammt 1:1 von J. P. Ryan - er passt ohne Änderungen!! Das hatte ich noch nie! Alle sichtbaren Nähte sind per Hand gemacht, das Futter ist ähnlich gefärbte Baumwolle (eine Fehlfärbung für etwas anderes, das haargenau passt!), der Oberstoff Leinen. Als Zierde gibt es weiße Baumwollspitze. Um den Halsausschnitt und den Saum kommen auch noch welche schmälere, aber dafür haben meine Borten nicht gereicht.

Noch ist nichts gebügelt, aber ich möchte das Jäckchen unbedingt am 1. Mai in Stübing tragen, daher fehlen auch WiP-Bilder. Ich habe genäht wie eine Wahnsinnige.

And now to the jacket: The pattern is 1:1 by J. P. Ryan - it fits without changeings!! I never had that before! Every visible stiching was made by hand. The lining is similar coloured cotton (a dying fail for something else but here it fits exactly!), the outer layer is linen. The decoration is white cotton lace. There will be some narrower ones along the seam and the neck too but my lace storage wasn't sufficient.

Nothing is ironed yet but I absolutely want to wear the jacket on May 1st in Stübing so there are WIP pictures missing too. I sewed like mad.
